A studio service
Puzzle books for adults, checked puzzle by puzzle.
An adult puzzle book is judged by its weakest puzzle. One grid with two answers, one clue that does not resolve, and the review is written. We design logic, number, word and mixed brain-game books for adults, each puzzle solved before it is laid out, with answers that are easy to find.

N° 01What goes in the book
Puzzle types that adults buy.
01
Logic grid puzzles
Who-owns-the-zebra style grids with written clues, built so the clues lead to exactly one answer.
02
Number puzzles
Sudoku variants, kakuro, number ladders and arithmetic squares, at stated levels from gentle to hard.
03
Word puzzles
Word searches, word ladders, anagrams and codewords built around the theme of the book.
04
Visual puzzles
Mazes, spot the difference, odd one out and pattern completion drawn for adult eyes.
05
Mixed brain-game books
A planned rotation of types so no two consecutive pages feel the same, with difficulty rising through the book.
06
Answers that are easy to find
A solutions section numbered to match the puzzles, laid out so the answer is found without hunting.
N° 02The part that goes wrong
A puzzle with two answers is not a puzzle.
01
Unchecked puzzles
Every logic and number puzzle is solved from its clues before layout to confirm there is exactly one solution and that no clue is redundant or contradictory.
02
Difficulty that lies
A book labelled hard that opens with easy grids loses trust. Levels are assigned by a consistent rule and stated on the page.
03
Grids too small to write in
Cell size, line weight and the space for pencil notes are set at print size, not on screen.
04
Children's puzzles in a grown-up cover
Themes, vocabulary and difficulty are chosen for adults from the first page.
N° 03How it runs
Plan first, artwork after.
01
1. Page plan
We agree the puzzle types, how many of each, the difficulty range and whether the book has a theme, then list every puzzle before any is built.
02
2. Sample pages
Two or three finished pages in the agreed look, so you approve the style and the difficulty before the rest is made.
03
3. Full interior
Every page produced to the plan, with answers or instructions where the format needs them, then one consolidated round of changes.
04
4. Cover and files
Cover design, front matter and print-ready files at your trim size, set to your printer's or platform's template.

N° 05Questions
The answers we give most often.
- How do you make sure each puzzle has one solution?
- Logic and number puzzles are solved from their clues before layout, and the solving path is kept as the answer page. A puzzle that resolves two ways is rebuilt before it goes in.
- Can you make a large-print puzzle book?
- Yes. A large-print edition is laid out again with bigger cells and type, which usually means fewer puzzles per page. Enlarging a standard page does not give the same result.
- Do you write the puzzles or can I supply mine?
- Either. We build puzzles to your brief, or lay out puzzles you have written and tell you if any does not resolve.
- Can it be printed through Amazon KDP?
- Yes. It is a standard paperback, usually at a larger trim size so the grids stay comfortable. We set the files to KDP's template or your printer's.
- Do I own the puzzles?
- Yes, with full commercial rights and the source files, so you can publish further volumes from the same system.
